All Academy Directors act in a dual role, performing the duties of Academy Governors and also acting as non-executive directors of the trust, both as a charity and as a company.
In addition to attending full Governing Body meetings, all Directors sit on one of two sub-committees and also hold specialist areas of responsibility.
All Directors are voluntary, and are expected to be able to contribute fully to the efficient and effective running of the Academy. As such, all have particular experience or skills which enable them to do this effectively.
The Academy Directors also act as the admissions authority for the Academy in place of the Local Authority who perform this role for maintained schools.
